As technology advances in the world so does our perception of the world around us, and within this we find some form of escape from our physical form, whether it be from listening to music, watching tv or delving into a computer game, the possibilities humans now have to escape via technology have become endless, thus illustrated by the architectural, high rise inspired structures which form ‘Electronic Society’.

To seek distraction and leave unpleasant realities behind some of us can relate to the ideas of consumption and how we try to escape the world by dancing, drinking and recreational drug use. Is this a toxic way of escaping in which we end up landing back onto unpleasant realities instead of dealing with them? ‘‘Consume Anything’’ taps into our basic human nature which for many of us relies on numbing our reality to escape our reality.

Since the huge rise of social media, many chime into creating an online voice and presence for themselves which can often lead to success or disaster. We see applications like Instagram who hone in on many young people's need for a dopamine boost by every like or comment, thus disproportionately filling us with a false sense of ego and a necessity to present a false version of ourselves to feel good. We ‘Pretend Everything”. Many find social media a means of escape from the harsh judgement/realities of the real world and for others it seems like our phones present a whole new critique in which we find it hard to escape from, which reality is real? Or is it all now just pretend?
